DOFF cleaning in Plymouth, Devon & Cornwall – a gentle cleaning method with great results!
DOFF Cleaning Plymouth
Maintaining the Integrity of Sensitive Surfaces
At Clear and Clean, we are trained specialists for the DOFF cleaning system, and are Stonehealth Approved Rosette Contractors. We offer this cleaning for many different types of jobs, including heritage restoration, stone cleaning, brick cleaning, graffiti removal, grease and chewing gum removal. We also offer specialist Media Blasting.

A High Temperature Steam-cleaning System
The DOFF cleaning system uses a superheated water system, incorporating low pressure and low water volume. It has been designed to thoroughly clean many surfaces such as stonework, masonry, concrete and render, without risk of damage – also ideal for listed buildings or those with ornate embellishments. This system gently removes paint, biological matter such as algae and moss, plus general grime, safely and efficiently – using temperatures reaching up to 150 degrees with water dispensing at 5 litres per minute.
The DOFF system, supplied by Stonehealth is trusted and approved for use by the English Heritage and the Royal Institute of British Architects and has been used on many buildings such as the Tower of London, Oxford University, Westminster Abbey, Harrods and Buckingham Palace.

'Media Blasting' Specialist Cleaning
In addition to DOFF Cleaning in Plymouth, we are one of very few companies who offer specialist ‘Media Blasting.’ This method involves blasting slightly abrasive materials using high-pressured air or water as a carrier, to remove contaminants such as rust, paint or carbon from surfaces. The process can be utilised to clean and restore surfaces to either smooth or textured finishes, or to prepare for further treatments, eg. painting.
For your safety and ours, we carry an IPAF licence for relevant mobile elevating work platforms, to access heights. We also hold Public Liability Insurance; are Safe Contractor Approved; hold certification for both the SSSTS (Site Supervisors Safety Training Scheme) and PASMA (Tower Scaffolding.)
